Hey Google, a great many of us signed up for the Gemini Pro tier and now you’ve REMOVED the Pro model, leaving us with a glorified LLM in Flash 3.8. This is a clear example of Bait-&-Switch. Flash 3.8 is an LLM, don’t delude yourselves into thinking otherwise. Claude has no Powershell access thus I’m going to be copying and pasting huge blocks of code myself, and even your own Flash 3.8 says it sucks (the actual word it used!) for doing anything that Pro 3.1 would have done, like building Android apps or web apps. Forcing paying subscribers to Claude is just begging us to cancel our Gemini Pro subscriptions. Perhaps that’s your intention. If so that’s just one more nail in the coffin of trusting Google to do much of anything ethical. If you don’t want us around just tell us, don’t pull this junk.
Yes, I’m mad. I have months of code in Antigravity using 3.1 Pro and now I’m just supposed to say, “Yay, look Google said FU to me but I’ll still gladly pay them because I’m stupid!”??? Well, I have news for Google, if I have to use an LLM I’ll use Copilot, it’s 10x faster than ANY build of Gemini Flash is and often gives me better answers and even better scripts. If I have to move to Claude why would I not move to Cursor, same cost, same code, no more BS “tier games” (again, direct quote from Gemini Flash 3.8)??? Just tell us you don’t want us. Try the truth for once in your existence.
