Are there any age restrictions for using Google AI Studio?

I am interested in teaching elementary school students about large language models (LLMs) and having them practice using Google AI Studio. From my research, I have found that the Gemini API has age restrictions. I would like to know if Google AI Studio also has similar age limitations.

Specifically, I am curious:

  • Are minors(age under 14 in this case) unable to access or use Google AI Studio with their own accounts?
  • If there is an age restriction, is it permissible for minors to use Google AI Studio through an adult account under supervision?

Welcome to the Forum,

Currently, Google AI Studio is limited to users who are 18 years or older and accounts belonging to minors—even if supervised—aren’t allowed access under Google’s terms of service. I know this can be disappointing if you’re a younger learner interested in AI.
