Title: Account restricted to AQ. keys — requesting AIza key restoration

Hello Google AI Developer Support Team,

My account can only generate AQ. prefix API keys in Google AI Studio. All newly created keys — including in brand-new projects — start with “AQ.” instead of the standard “AIza” format.

When used with the generativelanguage.googleapis.com endpoint, these AQ. keys fail with a 401 error (“Expected OAuth 2 access token, login cookie or other valid authentication credential”).

I believe my account may have been incorrectly flagged by the automated system. I am building a customer-service chatbot for a client and need a standard AIza key to use the Gemini API from a web application.

Could you please review my account and restore the ability to generate AIza keys? Thank you very much.

We are moving away from Traffic keys (Alza) and towards a more secure Authentication Key (AQ). AI Studio will now only generate Authentication Key (AQ) keys. More information on key usage can be found in the Using Gemini API keys documentation.
