I know I can integrate Gemini API into my apps directly, but I am wondering if there is currently or a future effort to allow Gemini app to access my third party app if it is installed on the phone. Example, like Gemini currently uses @youtube in chat interface to allow interaction with YouTube app, could I add code to allow @myPublishedapp to also be used by Gemini in the Gemini app? I am thinking I would do this through MCP. How much support or planned support is there for these MCP on device app functionality? I would use this functionality so that a user can log information throughout the day directly from Gemini assistant to my installed app
