I am experiencing a persistent issue where my available AI Credits are not being utilized to bypass the model quota lockout for third-party models (Claude Sonnet 4.6 and Claude Opus 4.6).
Despite having 815 Available AI Credits and the “Enable AI Credit Overages” toggle switched ON, the IDE is preventing any prompts to these models, displaying a “Refreshes in 5 days, 1 hour” message.
Expected Behavior: The system should automatically draw from the “Available AI Credits” pool once the “Model Quota” baseline is exhausted, as per the Google One AI Premium integration.
Actual Behavior: The IDE maintains a hard lockout based on the baseline refresh timer, ignoring the available credit balance. (Note: Gemini models appear to be refreshing correctly on a 5-hour cycle, while Claude/GPT-OSS models are stuck on a 5-day cycle).
