Google Antigravity is Google’s promising IDE using Gemini 3, but the community has been complaining a lot about stability and context memory errors recently. This topic is surely looking forward to a ‘Big Update’ to fix the recent crashes (January 2026) and improve Agent’s execution on complex projects. Hopefully, Google will soon release a patch to better compete with Cursor.
Currently, Antigravity’s RAG (Retrieval) capability is still not deep, and when asked about the connection between modules or functions located in another file, the Agent answers inaccurately or is ‘hallucinate’. Hopefully, Big Update will provide better Deep Indexing and Semantic Search capabilities, enabling AI to grasp the entire project context, dependency graph, and automatically re-index quickly whenever the code changes (real-time sync). If it can be done like the current Cursor or better, then the workflow will be truly smooth.
