Hey — I’ve been running into some really strange problems with Antigravity lately.
I moved a few of my workspaces out of iCloud Drive and into a normal local folder. Since then, Antigravity has only shown old threads in the “Past Conversation” list. New conversations do get saved in .gemini/antigravity/conversation/, but they do not show up in “Past Conversation” after I restart the app.
I tried reinstalling Antigravity to fix it, but that actually made it worse. After reinstalling, all the old threads disappeared from “Past Conversation” as well, and new ones still are not kept in the list after restart.
I’ve already tried the suggested fixes from the forum, like reopening the folder from “Agent Manager”, but none of that helped.
On top of that, after reinstalling, changes in “Antigravity Settings” are no longer being saved either. Like, if I switch “Terminal Command Auto Execution” to “Always Proceed”, then quit and reopen Antigravity, it goes back to “Request Review”. The same thing happens with commands added to “Deny List Terminal Commands”. They just disappear after restart.
I was trying to keep going in this “don’t restart the app” mode so I could finish some urgent work, but then I realised Antigravity couldn’t even create new files in the workspace either.
I’ve attached a few screenshots showing the moment when it freezes while trying to create a new file. I also did a simple test. It looks like Antigravity has some problem using the write_to_file tool in workspaces that were migrated from iCloud. It can successfully create files with write_to_file in a new sibling workspace created directly in the same local folder, but it cannot do that in workspaces that were migrated from iCloud into that folder.
So the workspace itself is writable, and the macOS is not blocking file creation there. It does not look like a general write-permission problem caused by the iCloud migration. It feels more like an Antigravity bug, stale internal state, or something along those lines.
At the moment, Antigravity is basically unusable for me, and I’m up against a deadline. Please help.![]()
