FWIW, after re-running the update, it works. 3.1 appears in the drop down. I also opened a new terminal instance. Not sure if that helps anyone.

Hey All,

Are you able to upgrade to the Antigravity v1.18.3? This version includes the updated model definitions. I’ve confirmed that after updating, the Gemini 3.1 Pro model is selectable and working correctly

Yes, after the upgrade, we should restart the Antigravity to apply the changes. Then, we should be able to select the Gemini 3.1 Pro model from the dropdown menu.

I’m sharing this FYKI - my issue started AFTER the update in Antigravity version and app restart.

I was prompted to again to update after a reboot. And proceeded to update it again. I figured it there was a patch.

Unknown if impacted by the lack of fresh terminal instance after the first update, when I relaunched Antigravity.

After the second update, and a reboot (unknown if reboot was an impact) everything worked.

Assuming I remember the chronology correctly, maybe this can be helpful for anyone who sees the issue persist.

no update button appeared for me like previously… the models show in the selector, but i can’t use them

i’m not able to. No ‘restart to update’ button shows like on previous updates. Restarting does nothing. I’m on ultra.

It didn’t work for me about three hours ago, but now it’s working fine. :+1:

@Sam_Rexford I downloaded the latest update and reinstalled it. When I relaunched it, it picked up my project from where I left off with the 3.1 Pro model enabled.

Has anyone noticed that the old 3.0 Gemini model is now completely gone? The dropdown only shows 3.1.

still experiencing the issue with agy 1.18.4. model dropdown shows only 3.1 pro (high/low) 3 flash. when I choose 3.1 pro high it says
Gemini 3 Pro is no longer available. Please switch to Gemini 3.1 Pro in the latest version of Antigravity.

was able to get mine to work buy uninstalling the previous app and reinstalling a new downloaded version. Previously clicking update in the app didn’t solve the problem for me.

I have a separate issue with cli behavior now, on 18.4 (latest)

Downgrading didn’t fix it. Reinstall of 18.4 didn’t fix it.

I’m on Ubuntu Linux and I see people with Windows experiencing issues too. It’s platform wide crazy :joy:

Removing restrictions didn’t even do anything. This instability is hurting my productivity.

My experience**
Issue pattern**: Some older conversation threads keep triggering the Gemini 3 Pro is no longer available error, even on updated Antigravity versions.

  1. Hypothesis: Old threads may retain cached model routing/session configuration tied to Gemini 3 Pro.
  2. Observed workaround: Deleting the affected thread and recreating a new one restores normal behavior.
  3. Suggested workaround: Start a new conversation first (optionally with Gemini 3), then switch to Gemini 3.1 Pro.
