Antigravity giving message "Gemini 3 Pro is no longer available. Please switch to Gemini 3.1 Pro." but 3.1 is not yet selectable

Since you are seeing this error while selecting the correct model, it is likely that the current active chat thread is stuck attempting to use the deprecated Gemini 3 Pro model .

Could you please try clicking the + (New Chat) button and see if the error persists in a completely new conversation?

If a new chat works, you can continue there. If it still fails, you may need to clear your local cache.

To help us identify the specific bug causing this on your Ubuntu setup, could you please clarify the exact behavior?

  • Is the CLI hanging indefinitely (spinning) when you try to run a command, or is it throwing a specific error message?

  • Does this happen when the Agent runs commands or when you type manually in the terminal?

Thank you for reaching out again. My issue was on my end. It was a local user permissions issue. Unrelated to the update. Forgive the false alarm.
