With both Gemini CLI and Antigravity CLI, when the chat agent is outputting its working to the terminal and moving onto next steps (particularly when auto-accept is switched on) I frequently need to scroll back to read the decisions made.
However when I scroll back, the terminal auto scrolls right back to the most recent (bottom-most) point in the output after a few seconds. I have to do the bizarre hack of jiggling the mouse scroll wheel in-place just to read the older text.
I found a plugin on these forums that gracefully addressed the same issue in Antigravity IDE, but that won’t work for the TUIs.
Is there a fix/plugin somewhere I have missed? For me this makes the UI unusable for in-depth work with a planning agent, so assuming it’s not fixable I’m looking at other UIs. I have no experience outside of Google’s two TUI’s so I’ll start with things I’ve heard about like Opencode and Hermes, that let me bring along my Google API keys.
