How is it possible that I’m being charged 220$ for 35 veo 3.0 videos, using veo-3.0-generate-preview ?!

Because they cost $0.75 per second. So creating 35 videos of 8 seconds each would be $210. The pricing page states this clearly: Gemini Developer API Pricing | Gemini API | Google AI for Developers

You are right David! For Some reason I thought it was 0.75$ per 8 seconds and the maths were not adding up. Thanks a lot, that makes total sense now!
by the way, do you happen to have seen my other ticket? Im struggling to find a solution for this.
