Does anyone know of any alternatives to these options other than Claude or ChatGPT? This tool is terrible for development right now. It’s been impossible to make progress for the last 2 weeks, and 503 errors are constant. The AI Studio chat works perfectly, but the paid API actually gives more errors than the platform itself.
It seems they prioritize data over paying users to protect their image. That’s understandable from their side, but it’s not feasible for us when there are deadlines to meet. Does anyone have any recommendations?

I can’t believe this is true. I tested Gemini 3.1 Pro, greeted it, and entered ’Hello?‘. The paid API waited for 160 seconds without any response, but when I stopped using the API, it actually received a response after only 50 seconds. I don’t understand why this is the case. Does it mean that paying for it becomes unimportant?
No, what implies is that private user data and Google’s image before 99% of the market—the people using the chatbot—are better business for Google than a SaaS service with no SLA. Then, you try to use Vertex AI and it’s impossible to integrate it into VS Code via GitHub Copilot. Everything pushes you toward using an inefficient service that prioritizes free users for data and image reasons, at maximum cost, and it doesn’t even support Batch.
‘Democratizing AI,’ they said, if I recall correctly. The punchline is the status page, where they actually have the nerve to say the API is operational. The punchline is the status page, where they actually have the nerve to say the API is operational
