Just like the title says; since the other day, the user markdown is no longer being rendered on my side. I really enjoyed this feature, it was something else AI studio had over the Gemini app version.
Anyone know if this is permanent or just a temporary glitch? Thanks.
I just tried it on my end and markdown seems to be working fine in AI Studio including bold text, code blocks and lists. It might be temporary glitch. Try refreshing or switching browsers to see if that helps!
i’m also having this issue, both in gemini web and gemini for jetbrains plugin.
My questions and code snippets are no rendered as markdown, but gemini’s yes.
Hi, thanks so much for responding! So I just switched browsers and still same thing. I also tried it on my sister’s laptop and still didn’t have user markdown. My main fear is this is a new rollout and it’s reaching people at different times. Like I said, really enjoyed having user markdown. Someone said it was causing UI performance issues but I never had an issue with it at all. Hopefully it is just a temporary glitch (though it’s been persisting for a few days now).

It was working until circa 14 - 15 UTC time. I tried in different browsers (chrome,firefox,brave) and in 2 different laptops, to no avail.
Does not work for me either. I’ve been trying to let in @Logan_Kilpatrick on this in X for days, but no response.
Markdown, TeX, font tweaks, nothing works for the user input in particular.
Can’t reply to everyone but glad to see I’m not alone in this problem. I had seen Logan on the Reddit for Bard but haven’t been able to get his attention either. If he does reply to you, please lmk! Would love to know what’s up this issue and if we can expect to see it resolved soon.
