Access to Vertex AI in express mode?

Hi,
Following the instructions documented under Vertex AI in express mode overview  |  Generative AI on Vertex AI  |  Google Cloud I created a fresh @gmail.com account to test Vertex AI in express mode for an upcoming workshop on Gemini.

All went good and according to the documentation and I was able to use Vertex AI Studio Freeform to prompt the Gemini 2.0 models.

But, as the workshop is focused on the Gemini API I couldn’t access the described menu entry “API Keys” as described under Vertex AI in express mode overview  |  Generative AI on Vertex AI  |  Google Cloud - same for “Quotas” as missing entry described here Vertex AI in express mode overview  |  Generative AI on Vertex AI  |  Google Cloud

What are the right steps to access Vertex AI in express mode?

FYI, after an update of Google Cloud the issue has been resolved.

I was able to access “express mode” using the newly created account and it works as expected.
