So I’m wondering, either I don’t understand something, or this is how it should be. I don’t understand why gemini advanced does not accept video, although it works on 1.5, which just accepts video in Google AI Studio

That is a good question, but this forum is about AI Studio and the Gemini API, not about the Gemini Advanced application. To report this as a problem, the best approach is to use the Help icon in Gemini Advanced, which brings up the send feedback option. And send the question to the people responsible for Gemini Advanced

Based on my guess, because videos consume too many tokens and the speed of returning the first character is also very slow, it might actually be sufficient for non-professional developers to use images. The user experience is faster as well. Of course, this also leaves some room for Google’s upcoming Project Astra product. This is just my speculation.
Oh jeez so another thing the paid product doent have that the free ai studio does, its mad the ai stdio is so much better but its free while the horrid empty advanced tats dumbed down is paid? And it cant even do videos now? shame
Has anyone else lost the ability to upload videos? I can now only use the sample videos provided by Google.
