I’ve been trying out gemini 2.5 pro experimental in ai-studio and in gcp vertex-ai-studio.
In gcp vertex-ai-studio, I’ve been trying out GCS video input prompts and running into issues. The model seems to only access the first 110s of the video.
In ai-studio, I can’t use the same GCS video files. So I uploaded the same files to google drive. AI-studio works as expected, accessing the entire video.
Is this a limitation purely for vertex-ai gemini-2.5-pro during this experimental phase?

I don’t think there is limitation in Vertex AI Studio. I just tried 50 mins of video and it worked. Here is the screenshot :
Make sure you are not hitting the token limit. Try with new prompt. Might be an intermittent issue from your side.

I just tried it out once more, this time with a youtube video “Modified by moderator”
Just to be clear, I had this issue with GCS videos, I figured since I can reproduce with a youtube video, that’d be better to show.
The video is 8 minutes long and I used the Insert Media > Youtube video link feature
Here was the result:
I removed a couple lines from the middle of the output to show you the final response.
As shown in the pic, it only used the first 110s of the video. I tried out this same prompt with more youtube videos of different lengths and it always stops at 1:50
Also, regarding the token limit, it hasn’t reached the token limit for this test, nor my previous 25-minute video tests.
I also tried the same video+prompt on other models.
gemini-1.5-pro worked
gemini-2.0-flash worked
gemini-2.0-flash-thinking-exp said 1:50
gemini-2.0-pro-exp said 1:50
gemini-2.5-pro-exp said 1:50 (same as the pic)

Hey @kokashcr, I put a 12 mins video link of youTube video for timestamps it worked. Not pretty sure in your case and why it’s happening in Vertex AI Studio. Do you mind reporting here that will be helpful.
