I am reporting a billing issue with the Gemini API.
On May 30–31, 2026, my project AgoraStoryVerse v1 (gen-lang-client-0132963929, projects/611805658866) exceeded the monthly spending limit I had explicitly set at €600. Despite this limit, the usage continued and reached €1,006.55.
A hard spending limit is expected to prevent this kind of overrun. My billing page now shows an outstanding balance of €787.01, including a sudden spike of €409.29 on May 30–31.
This appears to be the same type of issue already reported by other users, including the the $2,200 case from April 20–22, the $4,368 case from April 27, and ~$6,000 in unauthorized Gemini API charges from a Vite-built client bundle — requesting billing review .
I am requesting a review of this incident, and if possible an explanation of why the spending limit failed to stop usage, and a billing adjustment/refund/credits for the charges above the €600 limit.
