429 "prepayment credits are depleted" despite funded balance and raised spend cap

Hello,

Project: mykonos-list

I’m getting the following error on every generateContent call:

429 RESOURCE_EXHAUSTED
“Your prepayment credits are depleted. Please go to AI Studio at https://ai.studio/projects to manage your project and billing.”

However, on the AI Studio Billing page for this same project:

  • Monthly spend cap is set to ₪20.00 (raised from the default ₪0.00)
  • Current spend shown is ₪0.00 / ₪20.00

The billing page appears correctly funded, but the API still rejects every request with the same error. This has been happening consistently since [ “September 2”].

Could someone please help with a manual billing sync for this project?

Note: There is no manual billing sync process at our end.

The error occurs because the ₪20.00 amount configured on your AI Studio Billing page is a monthly spending cap (a budget ceiling), not a deposited prepaid balance. The project currently has zero deposited prepayment credits in its dedicated AI Studio wallet. To make API calls,
