could have been a warning tho? Do you agree with this? Or you think 250 usd/mo team users do not deserve even a warning?
Are you locked out of your entire google account (gmail, drive, 2fa authenticator, etc) or is it just your AI-related products? I quickly scanned the thread and didn’t see any reference to this, but apologies if I overlooked and this has already been addressed. I’m not on Ultra, but i do pay for Pro and i would be screwed if I got locked out of my entire google account for connecting to openclaw via gemini CLI oauth. i’m willing to roll the dice if its just the $20/month AI access. gemini is incredible but there are so many good providers/models right now its hard to even keep up.
Account banned after connecting OpenClaw — requesting reinstatement
Hi all,
I’m getting the error “There was an unexpected issue setting up your account” and believe I’ve been caught up in the recent Antigravity/OpenClaw ban wave.
I connected OpenClaw to my account just to try it out — I wasn’t aware this violated the Terms of Service, and I wasn’t doing anything heavy or automated. I’ve since disconnected it and won’t be doing it again.
I’m a paying customer and would really appreciate being considered for reinstatement. I’ve seen Google mention that users who were unaware of the ToS issue will be given a path back — hoping I can be part of that.

Not trying to sound mean, but it’s been a month and is still a thing! Support channels never answers, me and others not only lack the “when” will this be actually resolved, but also an “IF” it’s going to be resolved at all or we should stop using Google services for coding tasks altogether
Both OpenClaw and Opencode bans are result of the lack of public acknowledgement about those tools and the Google API. Heck, the main reason people use Opencode is because Gemini-CLI is lacking in every single regard compared to it
OMG - I just found this site and thread, happy/sad to see I’m not alone. I’m in the same situation:
- Tested Openclaw in a VM on a separate project from other main work projects. Used Gemini API with Oauth. Wanted to see if it was useful for some reporting and data checks
- ZERO WARNING - Entire account frozen. Not just the project, not just the API. All projects frozen.
- In hindsight, I should have tested in a sandbox, but I thought this is what VMs were and APIs are for. Yeesh.
I’m following the process to get resolved, but another important warning. All my backups were also on GCP - backup BQ queries, BQ databases, etc. But now all my backups are locked.
If you’re NOT backing up your stack on a separate platform, do it. Because Google will lock you out, making any and all backup tools inaccessible and useless.
This has left such a bad taste in my mouth for Google products and service.
