2.5 flash lite - fine tuning

Today Gemini launched 2.5 Flash Lite General availability - but they have explicitly mentioned that it doesn’t support fine-tuning -

Just wanted to know if they do this kind of thing, and they will launch SFT soon? In how many days?
or mostly 2.5 flash lite won’t support fine tuning ?

It is difficult to comment on the future plans of models as it would require inputs from different levels, but I will raise your ask as a feature request.
In the mean time you can try gemini-2.0-flash-lite as it support finetuning.
