Will Tier 2 increase the effective daily quota for Gemini 3.8 TTS?

Hi Google team,

I currently use the paid Tier 1 Gemini API for Korean narrative videos and want to confirm the effective daily quotas for gemini-3.8-flash-tts and gemini-3.8-flash-lite-tts before spending more to qualify for Tier 2.

My TTS workflow received an HTTP 429 at 2026-10-05 15:44:04 UTC (2026-10-06 00:44:04 KST), explicitly stating a limit of “100 requests per day on Tier 1.” A single video can require more than 100 individual lines of speech, plus retakes, so this daily limit interrupts production.

Could you please confirm:

  1. What is the currently enforced Tier 2 requests-per-day (RPD) limit for each of these two models? Are their daily quotas separate or shared?
  2. Is the 10,000 RPD shown in AI Studio for some Tier 2 projects the effective backend quota, or can a separate 100 RPD limit still apply?
  3. After Tier 2 appears in AI Studio, how long should the higher TTS quota take to apply? If the API continues reporting a Tier 1 daily limit, what escalation or manual review is available?
  4. Is Tier 2 sufficient for a workflow needing at least 2,000 TTS requests per day, or is a separate quota request required?

I saw this developer report of a Tier 2 project still being limited to 100 RPD.

I understand that the published Tier 2 eligibility criteria include both $100 paid and three days since the first successful payment.
