I’ve recently been testing the Streaming API using the web console provided in the Cookbook code. It works well on both PC and Android devices when accessed via Chrome. Since the default setting uses the front camera, I tested switching to the rear camera, which also worked fine. However, I couldn’t get it to stream the Android screen instead of the camera feed. Since it relies on Chrome, I assume it won’t work when Chrome is not the top activity.
So, I was wondering if anyone here knows whether there are any plans to provide a dedicated Streaming API SDK for Android in the future? If anyone has information about the timeline, I would greatly appreciate it.
