any ideas what is new in that model?
Two notable features about it:
- It is faster than 1.5-pro-001
- It’s results have been rated #1 on the lmsys chatbot arena
It has apparently fared better during the alignment training phase compared to 1.5 Pro and 1.5 Flash. With my turtle prompt, the 0801 comes up with reasonable explanations:
There are a few possible reasons why Trinity might have flipped the turtle:
QUOTE
- The turtle was on its back: The most likely reason is that the turtle was on its back and unable to right itself. Turtles are vulnerable in this position and can die from exposure or predation. By flipping it over, Trinity was helping the turtle to get back on its feet and to safety.
- Curiosity: Trinity might have been curious about the turtle’s underside. While not the best reason to disturb the animal, it’s possible Trinity wanted a closer look.
- Misguided help: Sometimes people try to “help” animals in ways that aren’t actually helpful. Trinity might have thought the turtle was in danger for some other reason and flipped it over with good intentions, even if it wasn’t necessary.
It’s important to note: While the intention might have been good, it’s generally best to leave wild animals alone. Interfering with them can sometimes do more harm than good. If you see a turtle or other animal that seems to be in distress, the best course of action is to contact a local wildlife rescue or animal control.
The most likely scenario is that Trinity saw the turtle on its back and flipped it over to help it.

The other two 1.5’s go off on a tangent.
