It would be very helpful to have:
- on the bottom and top of every response - a quick way to jump to the top or bottom of the response (some responses can be quite long) - perhaps little up/down arrow buttons?
- I love the ability to delete and edit responses by the way (including model turn responses) - never get rid of those - they are “can’t live without” features. This is so incredibly useful and only Google provides this in their chat interface. I use it 100X a day!
- Auto-save sometimes seems to get stuck in a loop, Chrome crashes, data is lost. That should not happen.
- Would be useful to have a way to collapse/expand any response and/or all responses in a large context window with 100 turns. Easier to navigate the context window (show first line or AI generated subject for each one?)
- Can anyone explain what the “get code” button is supposed to do?
- Would be very useful to be able to not only delete a file but to replace a file in any response.
- Need a way to export entire context window to a file and download it.
- Enable user to select whether return or shift+return generates a new line in chat entry field
- Figure out why chat entry fields get slower and slower the more responses there are in a chat in Chrome (seems to happen in Safari too on Google AI Studio). My sense is that it is reading through all previous chat entry fields or something crazy. Literally typing every letter takes 10 seconds (this happens around chat field 50+ in a long set of turns). Eventually Chrome crashes due to this issue for some reason. Something is broken there…
- It would be extremely useful if the model could do research during a chat to pull in knowledge from the Web (for example docs for a python package it is using).
- I agree with other commenters in the forum that it would be helpful to have longer output length - given the input size, why not make it much much longer too?
- In general I think context window size = winning in AI. 2M is great - make it infinite please. For doing any real large project work, iteration on a large codebase for example, this is just essential.
I have used every model and tool there is. Gemini AI Studio is the best so far - mainly because of long context and great long-form writing. I’m loving this tool. Great work you guys!
