gemini-2.0-flash-exp is the only model that currently works in a half cascade solution where you want to do your own TTS. [ livekit io]( livekit io agents models tts plugins/gemini) shows a version that appears to work with gemini-2.5-flash-native-audio-preview-12-2025 however further testing shows that google.types.Modality.TEXT does not work and you are forced to use a Google Voice. This isn’t acceptable, can we please keep a version of Gemini around that does text STT only like gemini-2.0-flash-exp that has better tool support? It’s light, it’s fast and it cheap and exactly what I want only better native tool support.
