Very slow since update to 1.16.5

After the last update, agents are taking more than one hour per prompt, even the simplest ones. as I am talking now it displays “Thinking for 4800s” and it is not over yet

  • Which operating system (Windows/macOS/Linux) and hardware (Processor/RAM) are you using?
  • Is the slowness affecting general typing latency, the AI chat response time, or background tasks like codebase indexing?
  • Does this happen in all projects, or specifically in large repositories with many files?

i have been facing this issue in macOS, on macbook pro M2, the slowness is affecting the AI chat response time, its taking a hell lot of time in even a simple prompt, i have been facing this issue recently in all of my projects
