Vertex AI exception to prompt logging - Applicable to Anthropic Models also?

We applied to and were approved for an exception to the prompt logging policy as outlined in the Abuse Monitoring documentation in Vertex AI.

The documentation says “Services in scope: Vertex AI API, when used with Google’s generative AI models.”

Wanted to know if this exception to prompt logging applies to using Anthropic and other partner models via Vertex API as well, or is this only for Gemini and other Google models.

The exception to prompt logging in Vertex AI only applies to Google’s own generative models like Gemini. It does not extend to Anthropic or other partner models accessed via the Vertex API. You’ll still need to follow normal logging policies for those models.
