Hi everyone,
We are facing a critical issue with our Google Cloud project involving unauthorized Gemini API charges totaling ₹91,469.61 (₹24,389 on May 4 and ₹67,838 on May 11, 2026).
Key points:
- We did NOT enable or use the Gemini API in any of our applications or services
- Audit logs show ZERO requests to generativelanguage.googleapiscom on the affected dates
- The API key appears to have been auto-generated via AI Studio and later compromised
- We immediately deleted the key and disabled the API after receiving the alert
We have an active support case (#71098566), but there has been NO response since May 19, despite multiple follow-ups.
This is concerning as the invoice cycle is approaching, and the disputed amount may be auto-charged before the issue is resolved.
Has anyone experienced a similar issue, or can advise on how to escalate this further within Google Cloud?
