Unable to upload .py files to Google AI Studio

Something strange began after I did a factory reset on my Windows machine. Ever since that long overdue chore to make space on my C: drive, I have been unable to upload .py files to Google AI Studio.

This was never an issue until I reset my PC, and now I cannot for the life of me get the platform to accept a .py file. My browser cache has been cleared, I’ve double-checked all file names and contents, and nothing works. I can upload .html and .txt files so my workaround has been to create copies of my .py files as .txt and upload those, but this added overhead is tedious.

What gives?

Edit: From my Raspberry Pi which I believe runs Chromium, I was able to successfully upload a .py file. My freshly reset Windows machine is running the latest version of Edge as the browser.

Hi @Julien_Arpin ,

Welcome to the Forum!
We recommend trying Google Chrome. If the issue continues, please notify us.

Hi @Mrinal_Ghosh

I also tried with Google Chrome and the same error arose when I tried importing a .py file.
