I am writing to inquire about an unexpected usage limitation I have been experiencing when using Gemini 4 Argon in Google AI Studio.
Starting approximately three days ago, I noticed that I consistently reach the usage limit after sending only around ten prompts in each session. This issue occurs repeatedly, even when my prompts consist entirely of ordinary text-based questions and discussions. I have not asked the model to generate code or perform other particularly resource-intensive tasks.
Considering that I am an ultra subscriber,It’s definitely NOT acceptable.Although the usage limits may reset after approximately one hour, I find that I run out of the rates again within just a few minutes of resuming use. This is an extremely restrictive limitation for an Ultra subscriber, and I suspect that there may be a bug or an issue with how usage quotas are being calculated or enforced.
Previously, I was able to use the model without encountering such restrictive limits. I am therefore wondering whether there have been any recent changes to the model’s usage quotas, rate limits, or access policies that might explain this behavior.
I would appreciate it if you could clarify the following:
Have there been any recent changes to the usage limits for Gemini 4 Argon in Google AI Studio?
Is it expected that users may reach the usage limit after approximately ten text-only prompts?
If this behavior is unexpected, could you please advise me on how to resolve it?
