I am an Ultra plan subscriber writing to flag a serious issue that has now gone on for roughly two months, and to ask what the path to resolution looks like before I make a decision on my subscription.
The core problem: for most of the last two months I have not been able to effectively use the credits I am paying for. The strong models, especially Claude Opus 4.6, are either hitting server overload errors, getting cut off mid-task, or showing quota exhaustion that does not match what your interface displays. The Claude models are the ones that have been giving me usable results, so being unable to access them reliably means the Ultra plan is not delivering what I am paying for.
A few things I want to be clear on:
-
I am not looking to be moved onto weaker models as a workaround. The reason I am on Ultra is for access to the strong Claude models. That is the value proposition for me, and it is the part that is broken.
-
I have seen this is not an isolated issue. Your own developer forum has multiple active threads from Ultra users in the last few weeks reporting the same pattern of server errors, phantom quota exhaustion, and Opus instability. So I know your team is aware.
-
I have been a genuinely engaged user of the platform and I would prefer to stay, which is why I am writing rather than just cancelling.
What would help:
First, a realistic timeline on when Claude Opus stability and Ultra-tier access will be back to a usable state. Second, some form of credit or makegood for the period of degraded service. Third, confirmation of what Ultra users can actually expect going forward in terms of access to the strong models.
If there is no path forward on these, I will need to cancel. But I am hoping there is one. Looking forward to hearing back from someone on the team.
Thank you,
Allan.
