1024 Tokens is Not “Thinking”: How Google Stealthily Killed the Ultra Plan for Developers
Quota is awful
I just spent 40% in 15 minutes working on spec. Ultra plan, haha
Yes, we can cancel subscription and use CC directly. I’v got 20$ CC Pro sub, it’s nearly the same in terms of quota, but much smarter
Credits that normally last me an entire month were exhausted in just one week.
Sadly, I was on the one-year plan for Pro. Canceled today since it again hit the 7-day refresh quota after 3 Claude Opus prompts for planning and 2 Sonnet for execution.
It is really frustrating how the 7 day quota hits, even if some user told about the issue with multiple accounts (that in my case i only use to send mails of others account to a specific gmail one…, never to code)
I think it should not be hard for Google to give a single quota for accounts (even if the user shares it with other Google accounts) and avoid issues with multiple quotas, like it is supposedly happening now.
One more client on the cancellation team….
I have been seeing worse, 22m to complete 100% of the Opus quota on ultra plan, it seems like a joke. Moving to CC Max 5x plan next billing cycle.
Would be nice if someone compared Ultra to CC Max 5x vs 20x vs Pro plan.
Thank you for bringing these concerns on quota issues to our attention. Please be assured that I have shared your feedback with our internal team for further review.
We appreciate your continued patience as we work to enhance the Antigravity experience.
You can cancel today and get a refund for your unused days!
Bro, you’ve been saying the same thing for almost two or three weeks now. You need to give us a real answer. We feel like we’re not being taken serious.
Don’t let this topic down, every people need to know about this
Hi @Abhijit_Pramanik can you please let us know what the plan is going forward, so folks can make their decision to switch or stay with Antigravity.
I like the IDE and the agentic use. The Claude quota degradation is making it unusable for me even on an Ultra plan. I feel Gemini models are not upto par with Claude models and hence dont want to use them unless they improve.
Because of this I switched to Gemini 3.1 pro model. It surprised me I think it is not that bad. You need to more careful but it handles the job for me. I feel like in time, Google will be the only one standing in this AI thing since they have other revenue streams.
It’s been a week or more since I’ve switched to Claude Code, and It’s 5x is enough for me and our whole team - which is 100$, yesterday I found out that using Claude CLI is burning even less tokens, last night ALL night my Claude CLI had worked, created 20-30 commits, that was of course impossible with AG
Purchased Claude Max 20x today, quota is generous, at least for me. In 5 hour session, consumed only 22% of quota. If i had done the same work in Antigravity, my Claude tokens would be consumed in 20 minutes (Ultra plan). You do the math.
I think the only way Antigravity to keep its users is make Gemini at least as good as Opus. Maybe next Gemini version will deliver comparable results to Claude models, otherwise i dont believe that Antigravity will succeed with current quota limits. I think google should have changed its quota after Gemini 4 released.
And yes, “Our servers are experiencing high traffic right now, please try again in a minute.” is real game changer )))
Just bumping this thread for visibility. We need to keep this at the top of the list so Google support doesn’t “accidentally” forget we’re still dealing with this
I know nothing will happen, but I’ve got a lot of time since my quota burned after 27 minutes of QA session
Google doesn’t give a … that Gemni 3.1 is retarded and without Opus with reasonable quota ultra has become a big waste of money
yes it’s true but quotas in general need to be fixed. for 25$ you get 30/40 minutes a week with 3.1 Pro if you are lucky and doesn’t start hallucinating. With non-google model it’s even worse. i think the quotas for the current Pro should go to the Plus tier (they don’t even get higher limits compared to free users). Pro should get appropriate usage like the current Ultra and give the Ultra users quotas that reflect on 250$ in API costs ffs. the real question is why it’s Google a trillion dollars company doing such shady stuff just to gain a nickel or more. google nerf Jules since it’s basically useless and give us what we actually want and pay for. I think both Pro and Ultra users should unite forces btw.
I just switched to claude max 20 and it’s like night and day, opus 4.7 is really sharp and on top of that with graphroot token consumption is very managed, i’ve only used max over my 5 hr span 12% with antigravity that would have been 100% in 20 mins. I’ll add the main reason i decided to switch now was, i ran out of ai credits. so many of my credits were just wasted on going round and round in a circle.
Exact the same
I spent around 2 hours to initial setup and migrate all my AG stuff — rules, piplines, etc into CC with Opus 4.7 (mostly with /boris skill, so it’s deeply inline with CC conventions)
Limits are awesome. For the past 24h I spent only 18% оf weekly limit with really deep refactoring tasks
All the great stuff like Opus 4.7, /model opusplan, subagents, mcp without headache, no babysitting and clicking retry. I mean, why did I spent so many time to fought with AG?!
btw: I’v drop my Ultra sub, thanks Google, it was great, but, you know
Using Ultra’s Google subscription for developers makes no sense.
If you’re doing so, just pass.
For those who take benefits from their images, video and audio AIs, it’s just not a great value—but isn’t that bad.
