Troubleshooting Gemini 2.5 flash image preview internal errors

Hi,
I am experiencing persistent 500 INTERNAL errors when calling the gemini-2.5-flash-image-preview model. The issue has continued for more than two hours despite multiple retries.

Steps I have already taken:

  • Reduced the prompt size and complexity
  • Tested both text-only and text+image inputs
  • Added retry logic with exponential backoff

Despite these, the errors remain consistent. At this point I am unable to switch to another model because this one is required for my use case with image+text input.

Could you confirm if there are any known outages or instability issues affecting gemini-2.5-flash-image-preview? If not, please advise on the next steps to resolve this.

I was unable to reproduce the issue on my end. Could you please provide the exact API call, including both payload and parameters that consistently generates the 500 error? This information would be invaluable in further debugging the issue.
