Yeah, same here about ai studio. But also all images/videos generated in gemini (include chats) are gone. Nothing helps, They say in status page that all are fixed but nothing is fixed. Weird. Does anybody knows when they realy fix it? I cant understand simple thing, why they say its fixed when its not? NO SENSE

During the recent AI Studio Build outage, the cloud Vite environment permanently cached a broken process.env variable. Even after replacing the Gemini API key, utilizing import.meta.env.VITE_, and manually restarting the server via npm run dev in the terminal, the cloud container refused to read the updated .env file, resulting in a persistent 400 API_KEY_INVALID error. The internal AI Code Assistant also continuously crashed with “The task was canceled” when asked to update the variables. The key was verified as 100% active via a local cURL test. The AI Studio cloud container requires a hard-reset feature to clear ghost environment variables.

Many developers are currently reporting serious problems with Google AI Studio and the Gemini API. From a technical perspective, this appears to be a combination of rollout instability, capacity constraints, and backend issues.

• Batch jobs remain in “Pending/Running” without completing

Frontend → Gemini Serving Layer → Vertex AI → Scheduler → TPU/GPU Compute Pools

• Endless jobs

• Incorrect quota or rate-limit errors

• High latency

• Stalled or lost requests

• Unexpected cost spikes

Many reports indicate these issues started after a major ground-up rewrite of the Build experience that is still being rolled out.

Bottom line:
This does not appear to to be an isolated case, but a broader stability problem during rollout.

UAE here, building with Gemini 3.1 Pro model has gotten better but is taking longer than before the update.
Building with Gemini 3 Flash model is considerably more usable, still not on the same speed before rollout.
Edits to existing project still flaky. I recommend copying (remix) the project and continue there, becuase edits on existing older projects are not being saved.

I would avoid doing this automatic fix at this time as this will mess up your files more.
Better to do a backup /download files or copy the content of code somewhere externally.

After the migration there is a lots of broken modules / paths where the files references itself …

I manage to fix them (in my case had to check if the path were ok - for example from some reason it started to pointing out to search for modules and files in some non existing folder so I corrected the path) still all is highlighted red (cannot find module or file) but its strangely working.

If you haven’t written anything in the chat, don’t do it, otherwise your apps will stop working. Google has been having problems for a week and hasn’t fixed anything. Everything is broken.

Even importing isn’t working, downloading is broken, everything’s been damaged for almost a week now.

For those who were smart and didn’t accept the migration, the apps are still working; however, if you try to update the app, it will stop working.

Your platform can’t even create a simple chatgpt, so how is that working? Please answer me.

This is just ! Now free tier is not even working. I am back at a standstill. I’ve lost several clients and no end in sight! I was at least able to get my app somewhat running but so much is still broken!

Reset conversation removed is the worst update. Can’t even able to complete a a single request for several days now. They also reduce the free tokens. Even if you connect paid API, it worst than before. I hope they will solve this as soon as possible.

Agreed! It’s about time we start making noise. I really doubt that higher ups of Google are aware of the problem, or how their brilliant team is managing it. How they’re giving “everything is working“ statuses.
