After the last google antigravity update antigravity will no longer open on my pc. I pay for this service and im not able to use it. Following instructions through google searchbi have Uninstaller and reinstalled, still didnt work; then did the deep uninstall and removed and deleted the saved folders, removed the installer and even took extreme steps provided by google but the program still doesnt work. It opens a black screen for a brief second then closes and doesnt show on running tasks from task manager. I think its ridiculous that google doesnt offer human support by phone or email for products that consumers have paid for. I dont know what to do to fix this issue and google offers no legitimate support.
Hi @J.P_Lubecke,
Welcome to the Forum,
When the app flashes a black screen and closes silently, it is usually due to a graphics driver crash or a corrupted cache.
-
Update to the Latest Version: Since your app is closing immediately and cannot auto-update, please manually download the latest version 2.15.1 directly from Google Antigravity - Download and run it.
-
Bypass Hardware AccelerationIf the new version still flashes a black screen, bypass the hardware acceleration: * Press Win + R, type
cmd, and press Enter. Then, run this command:
"%LOCALAPPDATA%\Programs\Antigravity\Antigravity.exe" --disable-gpu -
Clear Corrupted Caches: If the issue persists, let’s clear the old cache:
- Press Win + R, type
cmd, and run this to ensure the app is fully closed:taskkill /F /IM Antigravity.exe /T - Press Win + R again, type
%APPDATA%, and press Enter. - Open the
Antigravityfolder and delete theGPUCacheandCode Cachefolders. (Note: You may also need to check%LOCALAPPDATA%\Antigravityfor these folders).
- Press Win + R, type
-
Check Application Logs: If it’s still crashing, checking the exact error logs will help us pinpoint the problem. Please navigate to
%USERPROFILE%\.gemini\antigravity\log\and share the latest.logfile generated right after the crash.
I have followed all of these steps multiple times and still no change some how I cant even get the installer completely Uninstaller. I cant find how to get the trouble logs. Trying to run the command in cmd prompt “%localappdata” doesnt work. This is why google needs people to actually help paying customer im to the point ill stop using it and go to the competition because atleast they offer proper customer service, like this is ridiculous. It shouldn’t be this hard to fix something that google messed up.
