Sudden jump from 5-hour reset to 4-day wait?

Its same for me, I contacted support , I thought it should be a 5 hour cap I said, they said

So I guess there adding all my 5 hours caps into days as I cannot use it for another 5.5 days from now. wtf

SAME HERE ITS RIDICOLOUS!!! I used Claude Opus 4.5 for 2 weeks with normal 5 hour limit cooldown. then I hit my second quota limit for the model. I had to wait till 26.01.2026 23:59. on 27.01.2026 my quota limit was hit for Claude models and I had to wait till 02.02.2026 23:59. so I wrote google but they didn’t even respond at all! yesterday (03.02.2026) I worked a lil bit with the model and I have hit 3 times 5 hour limit cooldown. today when I wanted to start working I noticed I HAVE TO WAIT TILL 10.02.2026!?? kidding me? I saw there is an update so I thought maybe it’s a bug. so I initiated the antigravity update and guess what? antigravity got corrupt and I had to throw it in the trash bin! that’s RIDICOLOUS! I beg for Claude to make own version of antigravity/VSC, im considering upgrading to Claude max. I learned to value Claude even more for all their work they put in into their models and tools

I’ve had it for 2 days. I am going to be trying to get a refund. It locked up my machine about a half dozen times last night.
What really pisses me off is that Gemini just goes off and does whatever it feels like doing!! I had to waste my tokens on you doing something I explicitly said not to do, then you give me this big apology, then make a bunch of different suggestions, again paying for that. Then I finally get to tell it that I want to revert. Then I get to waste more tokens on it changing back something that it wasn’t supposed to be changed. Then I still need to try and get it to fix my original issue. I pasted in an error, and it was like “Looks like it working, great!”. I am not sure how you get that from the error message but I don’t think we are looking at the same thing. Flash seems better than Thinking. Flash would do what I want most of the time. It just had a lot of linting issues to clean up. Used this for about 10 hours. i restarted my pc once an hour. I ran 750gb of images through Qwen3-VL on this same desktop just a couple of weeks ago. It took all day of my GPU running wide open. NOT ONCE DID IT LOCK UP MY COMPUTER!! I can run MiniMax M2.1 for days on end. I had 18 agents in parallel once, still didn’t crash my machine. Run one instance of Anti-gravity and my beefy workstation is crippled.

Same here. I slept but couldn’t forgot to shut down my laptop. Didn’t prompt anything. It just went to zero.

gosh freakin . this issue got fixed for me for like a week, and today i see another 4-5 day waiting period for the quota to refresh, instead of the advertised 5 hours. DEVS PLEASE DO SOMETHING

Honestly, this is NOT how you treat paying customers.

For months you market “Pro”, “power users”, and supposedly predictable usage — and then in the middle of active subscriptions you quietly introduce weekly limits that completely cripple how people actually use the service.

If people pay, they expect reliability. Not retroactive rule changes, not hidden restrictions wrapped in “fairness” language. When demand explodes, that’s a scaling problem on your side — not something you push onto the users who fund the platform every month.

And the most frustrating part?
:backhand_index_pointing_right: The “solution” suddenly becomes upgrading to an even more expensive plan just to regain what was previously included.
That doesn’t feel like improvement — it feels like moving the paywall.

Trust gets destroyed when transparency disappears. If this is the direction things are going, don’t be surprised when long-time paying users walk away once their promo period ends.

This is not acceptable. This tool was sold to us with wider use for Google AI Pro plans. Seeing a 5-day window for Claude models stinks, but it’s at least understandable. Seeing a 5-day window for Google models, on a paid plan, is insane. This should be a 5-hour window, just like it has been if a window is actually even needed.

If these changes are not reverted soon, and more transparency is provided to people using the application, many people (myself included) will go back to other apps like Cursor which have much more transparent pricing and usage metrics. Heck, we have to use extensions to just even know how close we are to the capacity.

I understand Google is trying to provide functionality to people who aren’t paying, but a 5-day window for a Google model on a Google paid plan is terrible for customers.

i tried getting a refund and was given the run around saying what it is and there are no refunds. I paid for a yearly plan thinking i can save a little money on it and now im stuck with a 300$ bill and i havent had the service for even 2 weeks.

honestly im actually considering unsubbing just because of the sheer dishonesty and arbitrary policy here. Modified by moderator by the limit isnt even the main reason anymore.

Never even used the Claude models and now I’m locked out for 6 days. I really like Antigravity too. Can’t be right.

same here fully unsubscribed, because I just can use claude one time per week xD is stupid… Apart from that have tons of errors and interruptions that consume tokens. Right now if you dont pay the 200 usd subscription you are on the free plan hahaha, the pro plan is just a fraud from google. Just pay Claude code
