I’ll Start: GetAiBooster.App Dashboard
I’m building a social media automation platform and used Stitch to design the main dashboard. Here’s what happened:
My Prompt:
Create a modern SaaS dashboard for a social media content automation platform called "GetAiBooster.App".
Design Requirements:
- Clean, professional interface with a dark/light theme toggle
- Main sections: Content Calendar (left), AI Content Generation (center), Analytics Overview (right)
- Color scheme: Modern blues and whites with accent colors for different social platforms
- Include: Navigation sidebar, top header with user profile, notification bell, search bar
- Content calendar should show scheduled posts with platform icons (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn)
- AI generation section should have input field, generate button, and preview area
- Analytics section should show engagement metrics, follower growth charts, and top-performing posts
- Modern typography, subtle shadows, rounded corners
- Mobile-responsive considerations
- Include sample data and realistic content
- Style: Modern, clean, inspired by tools like Notion, Figma, Linear
The Result:
What Surprised Me:
-
Stitch automatically created platform-specific color coding that I didn’t explicitly ask for
-
The analytics charts were way more sophisticated than expected
-
It included micro-interactions and hover states in the design specs
Pro Tips I Learned:
-
Be specific about layout structure - mentioning left/center/right gave much better results than generic “dashboard”
-
Reference established tools - saying “inspired by Notion, Figma” immediately improved the design quality
-
Include sample data requests - asking for “realistic content” made the design much more believable
-
Mention responsive considerations - even if you’re designing for desktop, Stitch considers mobile implications
Let’s Discuss: Advanced Prompt Engineering
I’m curious about everyone’s techniques:
Hot Questions:
-
What’s your secret for getting consistent design systems across multiple screens?
-
How do you handle complex user workflows in a single prompt?
-
Any tricks for generating designs that actually work in Figma imports?
-
Best practices for color scheme and typography specifications?
Cross-App Workflows:
-
Who’s successfully gone from Stitch → Figma → Development?
-
Any tips for maintaining design consistency throughout the process?
-
How do you handle responsive breakpoints when moving to code?
This Week’s Mini-Challenges:
Beginner Challenge:
Use Stitch to design a simple login screen for any app. Share your prompt and result!
Intermediate Challenge:
Create a dashboard with at least 5 different component types (charts, tables, cards, etc.)
Expert Challenge:
Design a complete user onboarding flow (3-5 screens) with consistent styling and logical progression
Community Rules (Keep It Fun!):
DO:
-
Share your actual prompts (even if they’re messy!)
-
Give constructive feedback on others’ work
-
Ask questions and help troubleshoot
-
Celebrate wins, both big and small
-
Mix professional and experimental work
DON’T:
-
Keep your best techniques secret (sharing is caring!)
-
Criticize without offering helpful suggestions
-
Post without including your prompt (we want to learn!)
Inspiration Starter Kit
Stuck on ideas? Try these prompt frameworks:
The “App Store Screenshot” Prompt:
Create a [app category] mobile app interface that would look amazing as an App Store screenshot. Include [specific features]. Style should be [design trend]. Make it look so good people would download it immediately.
The “Unicorn Startup” Prompt:
Design the dashboard for a $1B valuation startup in [industry]. The UI should scream "we're the future of [field]" with [specific functionality]. Think [reference apps] but 10x more polished.
The “Redesign Everything” Prompt:
Take [existing popular app/tool] and reimagine it for [different user type/use case]. Keep the core functionality but completely rethink the user experience and visual design.
Let’s Make This Epic!
I’m committing to featuring the best submissions in a weekly roundup, and I’ll share the techniques that work best for my own projects.
Who’s in? Drop your creations below and let’s turn this into the most inspiring design thread on the internet!
Tag someone who needs to see this! Let’s grow this community of Stitch creators!
P.S. - If this takes off, I’m thinking we could create a collaborative design system where everyone contributes components using similar prompts. Imagine a community-built UI kit entirely made with Stitch! ![]()
