Started receiving `The thinking_budget field is only supported when include_thoughts is true`

I’ve started receiving the error in a few requests to Gemini 2.5 Flash:

400 Bad Request. {"error":{"code":400,"message":"The thinking_budget field is only supported when include_thoughts is true.","status":"INVALID_ARGUMENT"}}

But there is no documentation about such thing in Gemini thinking  |  Gemini API  |  Google AI for Developers, is there a newer reference about this?
