Yes that is how AG is now. There is no rolling window, it basically counts down to then inform you it has locked you out a full week.
It is odd though as you can use their web chat interface and ask it a gazillion questions including code stuff and there does not seem to be a quota there. The AG ones just seem broken at this point. Considering going back to Copilot perhaps their $40 subscription that has access to the good models. We use that at work but the business plan and even that feels generous.
