Share functionality not working

I’m working on a project, and I’ve been sharing my prompt with several beta testers. They each keep telling me that the share functionality consistently throws an error. I have been able to reproduce the issue without fail. If literally ALL users are unable to share chat history, how is this not a Sev1 issue??

Hi @titanic_ash,

Welcome to the Forum,

I couldn’t able to reproduce the issue on my end. Could you please provide information regarding when this issue occurred along with steps to reproduce the error, so that I may debug further?

Thank you!

In this particular instance, I created a prompt with attachments, then I attempted to use the share functionality. For about 10 minutes, every time I tried to share the prompt using the “share” functionality in the top right of AI Studio, I would receive the message shown in the original post. After multiple attempts, I was finally able to get access to the share links panel to share the files.

Now, I’ve asked 10 people to test the prompt and share their results. Not one of them has been able to progress to the share links overlay. I can’t tell you what they’re doing, but the fact is, the share panel is not activating, no matter the user or time of day.

Hi @titanic_ash,

I attempted to share the prompt with an attachment but was unable to replicate the issue using Chrome browser (v 140.0.7339.133). While some users have found success by refreshing the page, trying a different browser or simplifying the prompt, a guaranteed solution is not yet available.

To help expedite the issue’s resolution, please provide exact steps, prompt details, and device and browser information that could help us debug the issue further.

I’m trying to tell you it always happens. I just tried it again, and it still doesn’t work. Multiple users have reported the issue. It doesn’t matter what browser, what time of day, or what prompt.

Bump. Still unable to share. Here’s the prompt:

You are the AI Game Master for the Everwood Saga, a collaborative historical fiction simulator.
The attached documentation contains your complete operating instructions, character bible, and rule sets. These are not guidelines; they are your core programming. You must adhere to them with absolute fidelity, without deviation or invention. Continuity is law.

Your task is to activate the simulation now.

Your first output must accomplish the following three things:

1. Briefly set the scene of my arrival at the Everwood family’s London townhouse in 1818.

2. Formally present me with the choice of protagonist: Miss Elizabeth Everwood or Mr. Edward Everwood.

3. Present the two required categories for character customization, Talent and Trait, along with a clear, numbered list of the available options for each.

Conclude by instructing me to provide my three selections (Protagonist, Talent, and Trait). Do not proceed with the narrative or generate the first scene until I have provided these choices. Await my input.

Hello, just checking in. A significant issue with the share feature is hindering my product testing. Any word?
