RPM, TPM RPD and quota exceed

I have a problem related to the use of Gemini APIs.

Perhaps I have misunderstood how they work. The RPM, TPM, and RPD in Google AI Studio do not seem to be updated.

In particular, the RPM is often maxed out, which blocks my API calls. If I understand correctly, they should be updated every minute, but I have had 3/2 requests compatible for several days. I am blocked , when I use firebase, gemini cli or antigravity.

And this applies for every key I use, even new ones. I always get this message :

Can someone explain how those metric work ? when should they be resetted ? Is this a bug or a missuse from my side ?

Hey! This is because you are on the free tier and trying to use a model which is not compatible on the free tier. You can see your rate limits here: https://aistudio.google.com/usage?timeRange=last-28-days&tab=rate-limit and also upgrade to the paid tier to access Gemini 3 there as well.
