I’d like to introduce a project we recently launched that utilizes AI capabilities: RoamSense.
What is RoamSense?
RoamSense is a platform dedicated to travelers looking for accommodation in Romania. Our mission is to help them make informed decisions by cutting through the noise of thousands of online reviews. We’ve developed a system that analyzes review content and generates a balanced summary for each accommodation unit.
How AI is used (and its relevance to this community)
The core of RoamSense is the sentiment analysis and entity extraction engine. To achieve this, I’ve explored and integrated the capabilities of advanced language models. I’ve leveraged the power of Gemini to process large volumes of text from reviews, identify recurring themes, and classify feedback into positive and negative categories, extracting the essence without distortion.
A key technical challenge has been ensuring the objectivity and balance in the summaries, avoiding bias, and generating a truly useful synopsis rather than just a simple list of adjectives.
Why is this relevant to the Google AI Studio community?
I believe RoamSense serves as a practical example of applying AI (and Google’s tools) to solve a real and recurring problem in the travel industry. I would be delighted to receive technical feedback from the community.
