Restrict Deep Research to provided files

Hello,

I would like to use the Deep Research API to do Deep Research on my own data using file_search, excluding data from Web Searches using deep-research-pro-preview-12-2025 and the interactions API. Is there a way to programmatically turn this off via the API/config or am I limited to just adding this as an instruction in the prompt.

Thanks for flagging it. This is a very reasonable feature request, and is on our roadmap for the next version of Deep Research agent.

This feature has been shipped now. The latest Deep Research releases support restricting the search process to certain sources. Let us know if you have any more feedback.
