Request: Implement On-Demand / Referral Rate Limit Resets for Antigravity Subscribers

Currently, Google Antigravity relies on fixed rolling time windows and weekly baseline caps. If a developer hits their limit during heavy coding sessions, they must wait for the timer or switch models.

Feature Proposal:

  1. Banked Resets: Provide subscriber accounts with manual reset tokens that can be activated on demand to reset rate-limit usage back to 100%.
  2. Referral Program: Implement a referral mechanism inside the app (invite via email → friend accepts, downloads, and sends first prompt → both parties receive an on-demand quota reset).

This would greatly improve user experience during tight project deadlines while driving organic platform growth.

Please don’t. The first one feels annoying in theory and the second mechanism seems very abusable.

Thanks for the feedback! To clarify how this would work in practice without causing abuse:

  1. Exclusive Creator Rights: Only paid subscribers (Google AI Pro/Ultra) can generate and send referral links. Free tier users cannot generate or send links, completely preventing bot farms from creating unlimited referral loops.
  2. Strict Monthly Limits & Flow: Paid users are capped at a maximum of 5 referral invites per month. A free user can accept an invite link, set up their account, and send their first message to trigger the reset, but the hard 5-invite cap on paid senders keeps it completely controlled.
  3. Banked Resets are Optional: The reset is simply a stored token you can manually trigger when you hit 100% usage during a critical deadline. If you prefer the normal rolling timer, you don’t have to click it—everything else stays unchanged.

The goal is simply to give paying developers flexibility during crunch times without creating loopholes for free-tier abuse.

The current implementation for 1 and 2 is that you get 5 invite links for 4 months of Google AI Pro, but no additional benefits. That’s a good thing.

Related to point 3, I understand your point, but it’s adding complexity to something that already works (IIRC, Anthropic uses a similar style to Google’s). If you really need to work outside of your assigned window, then get more AI credits. If you think about it, we kind of had this “emergency glass” when “free” AI Credits per month was a thing. It didn’t work because users managed to miss the month window or didn’t understand how it worked. This being totally optional may be better but will probably only be good with Pro subscriptions where you can actually deplete your 5-hour quota more often. Maybe that can help users understand that the Pro subscription isn’t enough and upgrade to Ultra 5x, but who knows; I’m not a psychologist.

Cheers.
