Is anyone having the issue where the AI chat seems to be stuck and the only way to get anything done after that is to kill it and re-start ?
This issue started yesterday (4th Feb 2026) for me and still happing now.
I am using version 1.16.5 on a Mac Mini M2.
Please proceed by initiating a new prompt window, as this seems to be an unavoidable limitation at present. I periodically transition to fresh prompt windows to continue development. For your information, seamlessly continuing the task can be achieved by familiarizing the new prompt window with gemini.md, skill.md, $$antigravityrules, task, and walkthrough.

I do this already. In this case, the new prompt window will be stuck at “Agent Loading”.
