Quota problems - Reset seems to be buggy

Hello. Want to report a problem I noticed. Yesterday, my Gemini 3.1 Pro quota was set to reset in a couple of hours, so I was using the Opus model. When that ended and it said the quota would reset in 5 hours, I turned off my computer and came back today only to find out now I have to wait 21 hours for Gemini to reset and Claude models did not reset fully; instead, only two bars unlocked and I’m on a 6 days timeout.

Since I did not even use Gemini between the time it said it would completely reset and now, I assume this is a bug; also, I believe the Claude reset is buggy too, as instead of resetting it only gave me 2 bars instead of the 5 the Model Quota modal suggests is the maximum. What’s happening here? I noticed my quotas were running out a lot faster lately, but assumed it was some change, but now I notice; after 5 days waiting for my quota to reset I have to wait almost another full day.

my theory is theres a persistent 7 day lockout when it hits your default browser and finds another default login that differs. i solved mine by making sure my default browser only has 1 profile and that profile only has 1 google account. Otherwise, after 7 days - it goes right back to 7 days immediately.

Simplest i can explain, best of luck.

Hello @Carlos5 @DuctTapedGoat, welcome to AI Forum!

To provide you with greater control and a seamless path to scale, we are evolving our Google AI plans by introducing built-in AI credits that can now be utilized directly within Antigravity.

Under this updated structure, our Google AI Pro tier is tailored for practical builders, offering generous limits for Gemini Flash alongside a baseline quota to experience our most advanced premium models. For developers operating at the highest scale who require consistent, high-volume access to our most complex models, Google AI Ultra serves as the ideal comprehensive solution.
Furthermore, we’ve designed these plans with maximum flexibility in mind; if you are on the Pro plan and require additional capacity or deeper premium access for intensive development sprints, you can seamlessly top up your AI credits to customize your limits and continue shipping your best work without interruption.

Yeah, this makes no sense to me. Sure, I saw that tweet that mentioned changes in billing. My problem, however, is that my quota “reset” seems to be in a loop of constantly setting a new reset time/date, even without any use. I don’t see how that can be a billing problem, unless you’re saying Antigravity is switching to a strictly credit-based system, which does’nt seem to be the case - from what I understand, this addition, as it’s being described, is mostly about allowing usage even after quota ended.

I understand this is probably a change that is supposed to push users into Ultra mode, even if through shady ways (I don’t feel like upgrading when right now, my paid plan got nerfed to oblivion and is blocking me from using it, as that suggests you guys can move the goalposts again in the future and turn into a completely credit-based system).

It’s not like I’ve been using it extensively either: I believe I haven’t been able to use Gemini in Antigravity (except for flash) in almost 2 weeks, and have instead opted for Claude models, which at least let me use a bit after the 5 or 7 day limit - not even due to the problematic quotas; I feel like 3.1 has been a downgrade as I end up in tool call loops and endless syntax errors as Gemini tries to write ginormous scripts in the terminal, often using bash syntax in powershell or forgetting to close brackets. But that’s beside the point. I just don’t think it makes sense to justify a blatant glitchy behavior (how does changing billing explain the fact that, even with no use, my reset got pushed 21 further hours).

Really hope this gets sorted out, even if it’s an announcement to say you’re killing the pro plan, cause at this point it’s feeling like a bit like a scam.

I am having a very similar experience, just different numbers.

Opus
When I ran out of Opus quota I waited until the weekly reset. On reset it said I had 20% credits, but when I try to use it, it says I am out and need to wait another week for a reset (still says 20% remaining but doesnt work.

Pro 3.1
Last week I burned through the quota very fast (never managed to exhuast it before). After a weekly reset it showed a 5 hour timer instead (much better). Working on it for a while and it went down to 60%. Logged in this morning (expect it to be back to 100%) and it still says 60% but now has a week to reset!

Clearly something is bugged, I wish they would acknowledge this rather than say it is intended! We pay money for this.
