If your Antigravity IDE suddenly stopped auto-completing or completely bricked itself this morning (June 7), it’s not another quota lockout.
Malwarebytes just pushed an aggressive definition update that is falsely detecting the new background execution engine in the Antigravity extension as malware. It is silently quarantining the binaries without popping a notification, leaving the IDE completely unresponsive.
If you are in the middle of a weekend sprint trying to finish a final-year college project like me, losing your coding agent to an antivirus false positive is infuriating.
The Fix:

Open Malwarebytes > Detection History.

Find the quarantined files related to
~/.vscode/extensions/google.antigravity/(or your OS equivalent). -
Restore the files and explicitly add the extension folder to your Allow List.

Restart the IDE.
This is another reason why my custom Opencode setup running open-source models feels safer. Because the binaries are transparent, they rarely trigger these heuristic panics. Did anyone else get hit by this scan today?
