Please turn off auto-save in the builder!
Yesterday, it didn’t automatically save the code after making changes, but today you’ve enabled it for some reason!
This creates situations like:
- A user enters an old project and writes 1 query. They receive an updated code, and it immediately saves, with no option to revert (there’s no such function).
You’re destroying people’s code without even warning them! I’ve lost 3 of my projects without backup copies!
Please turn off auto-save.

I totally agree. This is pure insanity, not an update.

Hi @user3277 @AlexGoD,
Welcome to the Google AI Forum!

If you are trying to build apps using AI Studio builder, Auto-save is a really good feature IMO.
@AlexGoD For anyone trying to retrieve your previous versions of code, please click on “open version history” clock symbol at the top right corner. You should then see a list of all changes that were made on the app. You can click the version that you want to restore and press “Restore to version” button.
This is the best way to retrieve your app version history helps you to seamlessly navigate across multiple app versions.

I’m honestly not sure what to think about this. Previously, when experimenting, maybe 2 out of 10 prompts would generate a satisfactory result for me. If I didn’t like something, I would just refresh the page and return to the starting point—now, those 8 out of 10 times I’ll have to click through the history and manually restore the correct version. It would be great if there was an option for people like me. In chat it’s fine, but not when using the builder tool.

Removing this feature may cause various problem for users . Instead of removing just make an option for users; which may consist of enable and disable options for end-users.

This is an idea of Google management to keep users in their studio longer so that Google can make MORE MONEY.
Unfortunately, I will give up on the services of the Google model.
It’s disgusting!
