Starting from 2.13.0 the PyPi package of TensorFlow offers packages for ARM64/mac which is great. If one installs this package on x86_64-based architectures the dependent package tensorflow-io-gcs-filesystem==0.33.0
is installed which is super useful. Unfortunately, though when someone installs tensorflow==2.13.0
on an ARM64/mac the package tensorflow-io-gcs-filesystem
is not installed and furthermore this is not possible to do manually either, since tensorflow-io-gcs-filesystem
does not offer packages for the platform ARM64/mac: tensorflow-io-gcs-filesystem · PyPI
This partial support of tensorflow-io-gcs-filesystem
on different architecture is really inconvenient if one does multi platform development, and makes the offerings of TensorFlow as a platform weirdly incomplete.
I was wondering if it was possible to complete this, and build tensorflow-io-gcs-filesystem==0.33.0
packages for arm64/mac? Is there anything prevent the developers supporting arm64/mac in the case of this package? This excludes M1/M2 Macs basically.
Thank you!
