Please add an audio-only mode to Youtube link. The video linking is much worse compared to feeding it the audio-only version of the same Youtube video.

It’s also much more expensive longer videos taking close to a million tokens.

Please add something like “audio-only” to the Youtube linking feature.

Youtube with gemini is not useable in production due to the fact that the model analyzes frames :

  • Too many tokens (frames are expensive)
  • slow (not useable in CF worker for example because of the timeout after 30 seconds )
  • limited to 8 hours of video per day
  • impossible to check the video duration beforehand

Audio only would be great + a functionnality to get video metadata beforehand :folded_hands:

To be able to analyze youtube video with a LLM is a BIG thing with a huge application market. Google you have everything to make it great!
